About Eight by Seven
This newsletter, a continuation of my long-time blogging practice, started as seven columns every eight days. I'm a professor of history at Swarthmore College. I wanted to ensure readers got value, but the initial volume was too much. So there's less content now, but Eight by Seven still represents a journal of my life and thoughts as I live them, day-by-day.
You'll find content ranging from recent cooking and books I'm reading, to puzzles with old comic-books, academic controversies, and takes on the news at a distance from the news cycle.
