About ChopChop Family

ChopChop Family, the nonprofit I founded, launched in 2010. ChopChop Family’s mission, simply put, is to make cooking cool, to get kids to cook and eat real food with their families. More officially: ChopChop Family is a national nonprofit that uses food and cooking to help children and their adults learn fundamental life skills. We believe that if children learn healthy habits when they are young, they will build and maintain healthy lifestyles into their teenage and adult years.

ChopChop: The Fun Cooking Magazine for Families, was published in both English and Spanish for fifteen incredibly fun and rewarding years. Congress put a stop to that by defunding SNAP-Ed, the largest nutrition education program in the United States.
