I’m Megan Sommers, mother of two girls and founder of Trudie, a homewares brand devoted to timeless design and the art of everyday hospitality. I live in Asheville, North Carolina, where my days are spent balancing motherhood, a full-time position, and growing this small business on the side—all while pursuing a beautiful, intentional home.
My love of textiles began in college, where I studied textile and apparel management before starting a career in fashion that took me to Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta. Those years shaped my appreciation for craftsmanship, pattern, and the stories that objects carry—an influence that continues to guide my work at Trudie and here at the table.
