Hello!
I’m Zoe Lea. I’m a traditionally published author of three psychological thrillers, If He Wakes and The Secretary and Closer Than She Thinks I’m also a social media strategist working with global brands as well as small businesses, and this Substack is a handshake between the two.
Because I know first hand how hard it is to market your books as well as writing them, and how easy it is to get burned out in the process.
When you write, in this day and age you also have to be a PR expert, sales manager, brand ambassador, short-form video editor…the list goes on and I think we can all agree, IT’S EXHAUSTING! I’m currently working on The Still Shores, a series of psychological suspense books set in the Lake District (where I live) and have made the bold move to leave my agent and publisher to self publishing these books late 2026.
