Welcome to Winter Wheat
I began this blog in December 2020 sharing observations on life and nature with occasional commentary on politics and culture. It was a modest and enjoyable endeavor and meant to remain that way.
All of that changed in the aftermath of 7 October 2023. Since that day my work has focused on essays and reports from and about Occupied Palestine. As a response to the genocide in Gaza, I took two trips to the West Bank in 2024 where I traveled and did research for a project called Palestinian Voices. This work is ongoing.
