Who is Terry Mattingly? I am a veteran religion-beat scribe in the mainstream press (30+ years with the national “On Religion” column) and the former leader of the Washington Journalism Center program for the Council For Christian Colleges and Universities. I have taught courses on mass media and religion at Denver Seminary, Milligan University and Palm Beach Atlantic University and I am now a senior fellow at Saint Constantine College in Houston. For 20 years, I led the GetReligion. org website — which is now a research archive on religion-news coverage in the mainstream press. I am an Orthodox Christian husband, father and grandfather, worshipping at Christ the Savior Orthodox Church in Bluff City, Tennessee.
