About Spyros Andreopoulos
I am passionate about economics, markets, and macro because I want to understand the world around me. That’s why I became a professional economist almost twenty years ago, and that’s what keeps me going.
I consult on global macro and in particular European economics and the ECB.
I have worked at the European Central Bank, where I conducted monetary policy analysis and prepared Governing Council meetings and communication. I have also worked in the private sector, at investment banks BNP Paribas, where I was ECB watcher, and Morgan Stanley, where I was global and currencies economist.
I also believe that macroeconomics can contribute essential insights for dealing with the greatest challenge we face in our lifetimes: climate change.
