Hi, how are you?
I’m Lindsay Blair and I’m the name and face behind The Home I Made.
My day job is in the homes and interiors publishing world, in which I edit and write for magazines and newspapers, including The Times and The Sunday Times, Ideal Home, Build It, House Beautiful, Woman&Home and more. I was the editor of Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine before making the leap into freelance life, which you can read about here.
I’ve spent more than a decade in interiors magazines and have seen them move from a primarily print-only world to become multi-faceted brands spanning all areas of print, digital and beyond. Literally, when I started out, writing and sending a newsletter was considered the big trend (I suppose Substack has reinvigorated this actually come to think of it).
