About Publius

Conservatism, at its core, embodies an unwavering commitment to tradition and the preservation of a social fabric woven with time-honored customs. It places great value on the virtues of community, kinship, hierarchy, and religion. Within this ethos, conservatives harbor a deep-seated apprehension of the perils that arise from social disorder, recognizing the dangers that emerge when individuals are detached from the anchoring influence of these cherished values. Such detachment is often a consequence of the forces of liberalism and radicalism.

Regrettably, the conservative movement has undergone a disheartening transformation over the past few decades. It has devolved into a loose coalition dominated by self-interested neoconservatives, token conservatives, media outlets like Fox News, the Republican Party, consultants, organizations, and political action committees (PACs).
