About The Noösphere
The word ‘noösphere’ is derived from the Greek νόος (meaning ‘mind’ or ‘reason’) and σφαῖρα (‘sphere’). It refers to the sphere of human thought, knowledge, and culture. It can also be interpreted as the sum of everything we know.
And while I certainly don’t know everything there is to know, I never want to stop asking questions to make sense of things we do know —or think we do.
Asking questions, especially the right ones, can bring us a tiny step closer to understanding the madness around us and figuring out how we can all live together with more peace and dignity. And that’s exactly what I set out to do here, and why I created The Noösphere—a space to challenge dominant narratives around human nature and inequality, especially gender and economic inequality, and to ground those conversations in evidence, not just myths and assumptions and comforting lies.
