The Ferret is an independent, investigative journalism co-operative based in Scotland and owned by its members, not by billionaires or corporations. We dig into corruption, environmental harm, political influence and human rights abuses. Since 2015, our small team has published more than 2,600 stories which have been read by millions of people and made real world impact. We’ve also opened Scotland’s first community newsroom where anyone can meet us and pitch ideas.
