The commentary in The Empty City is about law and the polity, and it is written from a critical and practical (and usually liberal and constitutionalist) perspective.
In particular, it explores how things work and do not work in law and policy - and about how laws and policies are made, and about how cases end up in court. It also seeks to place things in historical and international contexts.
