As artists, we have to bring much, much more to the table now. I share knowledge, insights, inspiration and motivation for musicians, composers, writers, and visual artists. Articles are published every Sunday at 8 am Ecuador time.
We artists are caught between a rock and a hard place (this expression refers to the dilemma of Odysseus). The world keeps pushing us to be formulaic and unoriginal, but we instinctively know that kills our creativity. At the same time, we intend to make creations that rise above the mediocre offerings of others, even while much of the public can’t seem to tell the difference.
