About Julia Tausch
I’m Julia Tausch, a writer living in Toronto with my partner, David and a very furry senior cat named Emma. I wrote the novel Another Book About Another Broken Heart and have published food writing, fiction, and essays in places like Joyland, Vice, Bon Appetit, and The Hairpin. You can find more of my writing here. I work part-time at the University of Toronto as a grad administrator and spend most mornings writing a novel about marine mammals.
I’m also an avid vegan cook and recipe developer. I love fermentation projects and making my own plant-based cheeses and seitan creations.
