SuperJoost PlayList is your weekly review of tech and entertainment through the lens of the video games business. It’s an excellent way to monitor major changes, strategic challenges, technological transitions, and how companies deal with them.
It’s written by me, Joost van Dreunen. I teach the business of video games at NYU Stern School of Business and wrote a book called ONE UP: Creativity, Competition, and the Global Business of Video Games, which I’m told is pretty good. I’ve spent two decades as an industry analyst working with all of the major firms on strategy, and now I’m sharing this directly with you. After selling SuperData Research, a games research firm I co-founded, to Nielsen in 2018, I now invest and advise data companies and game makers.
