About The Cognitive Ecologist
About Sher Griffin (aka Shamani)
Sher Griffin is a cognitive ecologist, systems researcher, and community practitioner working at the intersection of neurodiversity, social transformation, and collective intelligence.
I am the founder and harmony facilitator of The Compassion Collective, a living experiment in relational governance, radical inclusion, and cooperative social design. My work is grounded in a Master’s degree in Transformative Social Change, and I am currently pursuing doctoral research in cognitive ecology, where I study how minds, systems, and technologies co-evolve.
At the center of my work is a foundational premise: minds do not exist in isolation. Cognition emerges through relationship—shaped by bodies, environments, histories, cultures, power structures, trauma, and tools, including technology. Any serious attempt at social transformation must account for this complexity rather than reduce it.
