One of the most sacred and communal activities I've experienced is getting dressed with my friends—shared closets, overflowing suitcases, borrowed clothes. My dream is for Rabbit Fur Coat to create that same feeling of community and dedicated space to share the joy, meaning, and nostalgia attached to what we wear.
Where did the name Rabbit Fur Coat come from?
This newsletter was conceived of on a trip to Los Angeles to meet up with my best friend Anna (someone I've shared closets and clothes with for decades) to see our favorite singer of all time, Jenny Lewis. Her first solo album is called Rabbit Fur Coat.
