About PCP Press
Publisher of Avant-Garde Art Books and Insurgent Authors Since '69
Founded in 1969 in San Francisco, PCP Press is an independent publisher of avant-garde books and insurgent authors. Emerging at a time when transgressive and esoteric international art books struggled to find an American audience, PCP has spent more than three decades championing works that challenge, provoke, and endure.
Its catalogue spans art books, special editions, and rare publications produced in collaboration with some of the world’s most respected artists, writers, and cultural institutions — including Wally Hedrick, Wayne Thiebaud, David Hollowell, David Foster Wallace, Raymond Pettibon, Dave Hickey, Richard Carter, Charlie Colin, Bryan Reynolds, Gregory de la Haba, Alexander Easson, Shepard Fairey, David Hawkes, LG Williams, di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, and Lucerne Kunstpanorama.
PCP Press titles have been reviewed or featured in Artforum, The Guardian, Times Literary Supplement, The New Criterion, The Observer, Bookforum, and numerous other international outlets.
