Oldster Magazine explores what it means to travel through time in a human body at every phase of life, focusing on the good, the bad, and the ugly we experience with each milestone. The name “oldster,” an old-timey borderline slur, is used subversively and tongue-in-cheek. Everyone qualifies as an oldster — it's not exclusively about "old people," but about the universal experience of getting older. As editor Sari Botton puts it: everyone is an oldster to people younger than them, and a youngster to those older. Oldsterism is all relative.
Its core mission is to de-stigmatize and normalize aging, fostering intergenerational conversation by demonstrating that this process is happening to everyone, regardless of age or gender, all the time.
