Niall Ferguson is the Milbank Family Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, and a senior faculty fellow of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard. He is also a visiting professor at the London School of Economics.

A prolific and award-winning historian, Niall Ferguson has authored sixteen books, including international bestsellers and television adaptations such as Empire: The Rise and Demise of the British World Order and The Ascent of Money: A Financial History of the World, which won an International Emmy award. His biography, Kissinger, 1923-1968: The Idealist, won the Council on Foreign Relations Arthur Ross Book Award. TIME magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world for his work, including Colossus: The Rise and Fall of the American Empire. His most recent book is Doom: The Politics of Catastrophe (2021).
