I’m a New Yorker cartoonist and comedian who hurled himself across the planet from Australia straight into New York City’s chaotic embrace. I spend my days documenting the weird, wonderful, and utterly unhinged moments that make this place both a nightmare and the only place I ever want to be.
This newsletter is basically my sketchbook’s midlife crisis. It’s a diary of observational comedy—illustrated essays and videos pulled from real life: comedy shows around New York, secretly drawing people on the subway (and trying not to get punched in the teeth), and eavesdropping on conversations that prove New Yorkers aren’t born, they’re forged in steam vents. Sometimes, you need an outsider's eye to truly see a place, and my perpetually baffled Australian perspective offers exactly that.
