I’m Manuela R. Kouakou, MD, PhD — physician, neuroscientist, and mother.
My research has taken me through UCSF, Yale, the UK, Rome, and Geneva, studying how biology shapes behavior and mental health.
Then I became a parent —and the science stopped being theoretical.
