For those of us with testosterone-fueled gay sex lives, it’s easy to see sex and intimacy as two conditions that are best kept separate. But, compartmentalizing these two powerful human experiences can lead to isolation, loneliness, and unaddressed trauma.
When sex and intimacy overlap, there’s magic. Sensitivity to ourselves and the men we have sex with leverages our casual encounters into edifying friendships, self-worth, and belonging.
