About Martha Hayes
I named this newsletter, 'That's so LA' because even though I moved to Los Angeles (with my husband, Chris) back in 2019, those three little words still pop into my head on a regular basis.
I’m a British writer and if 'That's so LA' were an emoji, it would be a combo of eye-rolling, head-exploding, and crying with laughter. Incidentally, that could also sum up my experience so far (insert emoji here. )
It's been eventful. In the first year, I was just hoping for a rescue dog and a new bike to cycle down to Venice Beach. Instead, I got a brutal infertility diagnosis, Chris was diagnosed with cancer and there was a global pandemic.
