About Angie Schmitt
I am an author (RIGHT OF WAY, 2020), urban planner, and writer, primarily focused on transportation and urban affairs for over a decade. I am one of the country’s best-known experts on traffic safety.
In addition, I am a married mom, and a nearly lifelong Ohio resident who resides in the city of Cleveland and is raising her kids there. I’m really enjoying this phase of my life, having middle-grade kids and spending a lot of time thinking about family-related stuff, but not in a super ideological way.
I write about politics a little bit. And just to be upfront, I am a left-leaning reformer, who is a little bit disillusioned with Democrats in recent years.
