About Anemari Fiser

I knew early in my career that I wanted to become a Tech Lead and after a lot of learning and training supported by ThoughtWorks, I became one.

I loved the role so much that I got burnt out. When I started out as a Tech Lead, no one warned me on exactly how hard and complex this role actually is, as it’s at the intersection of people, tech and business.

A lot of the books and resources out there cover tech leadership in general or they are focused on specific roles like Staff Engineers, Engineering Managers or CTOs, so I struggled to understand what exactly applied to me as a Tech Lead.

With time, I understood why it was hard to find targeted resources on this role: because the tech industry cannot agree on what the Tech Lead role is.
