You'll receive ideas about self-education and stories about great autodidacts that will help you lead a more contemplative and creative life.
By sharing stories of successful autodidacts, tips for reading classic books, and essays on the theory and practice of self-education, my hope is to help you become a stronger and more active self-directed learner. That is, someone who is able to, time and time again throughout their life, chart a course of independent study, follow it through, and come away with life-changing wisdom and expertise in a subject or skill, whether that’s Political Philosophy, American Literature, The History of South Africa, or a new art form.
