Welcome to A Woman’s Place Is in the Wild. The story of this place began almost twenty years ago with the fox pictured above.
Fox first appeared when I lived alone in a wood-stove heated cabin on top of Overland Mountain.
Her offer was an invitation.
It was in the heart of a high altitude winter when the snow was deep and the temperature frigid.
