About Chef Julia Dunaway

Chef Julia Dunaway became a professional chef after a 30-year career in the uniformed services as a social work administrator, retiring at the rank of Captain, 0-6. She graduated from the Culinary School of Fort Worth in 2009 and started her business, Chef Julia.

She specializes in whole food plant-based cooking and is passionate about helping others learn to cook healthy food and live life to the fullest. By adopting the whole food plant-based way of eating she was able to lose thirty pounds and keep it off for over five and one half years, greatly improving her health. Her favorite cuisine, Japanese food, is inspired by her Japanese mother. She has four children, four grandchildren, and three boxers.
