About Ishmael Wallace
Like the bards of old, Ishmael Wallace finds in song a pathway to the world of Tradition, the golden world from which we spring. Castalia is his weekly letter, with songs and reflections inspired by Goethe’s words “All passing things are but a simile”. He was born in New England, educated at home, at the Curtis Institute of Music, and at Mannes College, and for many years co-directed “What a Neighborhood! ”, a concert series in Manhattan. He lives now in Thailand, and devotes himself to composing, recording, and teaching.
