About R&K

Roads & Kingdoms is dedicated to a simple idea: food can offer a tremendous window on humanity. We use talented local journalists, deep narratives, and big-hearted hospitality to inform and inspire about destinations around the globe. R&K won a Primetime Emmy for our series with our late partner Anthony Bourdain on eating through LA’s immigrant enclaves. In 2019, we won a National Magazine Award, and we were named the James Beard Publication of the Year in 2017. Our publishing projects include a book series with Harper Collins and Explore Parts Unknown, the digital home for Bourdain’s award-winning show on CNN. In recent years, we’ve launched two new projects that aim to bring old-time readers and newfound fans deeper into the world of Roads & Kingdoms.
