About Indigenous Grid
What This Is
Indigenous Grid is a space for learning about cultural design artifacts from communities around the world.
Here, we study how people designed things before modern design frameworks existed, not as craft, artwork, or inspiration, but as intentional systems with rules, logic, and meaning.
We look at design as a way people shared ideas, solved problems, and passed knowledge from one generation to the next. Through patterns, architecture, textiles, sculptures, and everyday objects, we see how culture is shaped through making.
