Started investing over 20 years ago back in my University days. If you asked me then, I felt I knew what I was doing, but today I would rate myself as a beginner back then. For example I didn’t understand accounting that well, with a background as a Quant. After 10 years of investing I added a CFA, a lot of people make fun of it, but for me it made sense - I now had the right tools to understand investing.
I became a Fund of Funds portfolio manager. During this time I met and invested in some of the best long only managers in the world.
