About Hala Alyan
Hi beloveds,
My name is Hala and I’m a Palestinian American writer, professor and clinical psychologist based in Brooklyn. I wanted to create a space to share writing prompts, poems, micro-essays (on care, endurance, Palestine, love, liberation, mothering, mental health), visual artwork, and a monthly “advice” (a. k. a. “let’s figure it out together”) column. I hope for this space to be something that evolves and feels co-created, through solidarity and curiosity.
