Why Grassroots Agent?
Recently I took a trip to San Francisco to visit my client as they were shooting their cookbook. I got to meet the team, just spend time talking about the publishing world, and answer questions that everyone had about whatever I knew. I spent the rest of that trip meeting with West Coast editors that don’t often get to meet with agents in person, we talked about what they were looking for in books, what projects they were excited about, and just spent time getting to know one another. I heard repeatedly: “I’ve never known another agent like you” “I’ve never heard anyone be so honest about the process” “I’ve never known any agent to do what you do for your clients. ” Honestly, I didn’t really know what to say to that because, I don’t know any other way to be.
