About Gillian Orr
Hello and welcome! My name is Gillian Orr, I’m an award-winning journalist and the former Editor-in-Chief of Refinery29 UK. I have also written for a bunch of publications including British Vogue, The Times, ELLE, Monocle, Violet, Air Mail, Lula, Konfekt and ES Magazine, among many others that probably no longer exist, and a long time ago I was an arts writer at The Independent. My first job in London was at MTV (RIP).
I started Slouching Towards Bethnal Green as a place to write about all the things that interest me - culture, style, life, beauty, and parenting - through the lens of an east London mother/former indie party girl. Love to have you here.
