Fragments of Humanity

About Rachel Parker

Carl Jung said it beautifully: “Life is a luminous pause between two great mysteries, which themselves are one. ” I’m endlessly curious about that mystery and about our brief, dazzling moment of being human.

Ever read a line that stopped you cold because it captured something you didn’t know could be put into words? That’s the magic that draws me to writing: our ability to record what it feels like to be alive, to make the invisible visible. We yearn to see our inner world reflected outside ourselves, and true artists are the translators rendering experience into words, images, or music that let us feel less alone.

What thrills me is that science and psychology are catching up to what artists have intuited for centuries.
