About Critical Intimacies

Erin Williams is a writer and illustrator whose work explores desire, embodiment, illness, and the interior life. She is the author and/or illustrator of ten books, including Commute and What’s Wrong? , with writing and art in Washington Square Review, MoMA Magazine, The Believer, VQR, and elsewhere.

Critical Intimacies is her ongoing exploration of midlife longing in an algorithmic world: essays on desire, sobriety, heartbreak, and the emotional mechanics of living inside a data-driven culture.
