About Julia Golda Harris

Hi! I’m Julia Golda Harris, a doctoral candidate in American Studies at Harvard. I’m writing a dissertation about trans participation in the lesbian feminist movement of the 1970s and the traffic of transphobic and proto-transfeminist ideas through lesbian feminist spaces during that era.
I live in Philadelphia with my girlfriend, a friend, and our cat. I am also working to open a lesbian bar in Philly with my girlfriend, Clover, who sometimes contributes to this newsletter.
