My name is Davide Maria De Luca, and I am an Italian journalist who decided to relocate to Ukraine to cover the conflict and document the country’s post-war transformation. In my ten years of journalism, I have mainly focused on Italian and foreign politics. I have reported from Sri Lanka, Israel and Palestine, Albania and Kosovo, Turkey, Moldova, and the Baltic states. After the Russian invasion, I traveled to Ukraine twice. My latest book is titled Bergamo e la marea and is a reportage on the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
