About Discovering Dyscalculia
Let’s talk about dyscalculia.
Being a mom of a dyscalculic daughter provides me a unique perspective on the challenges of raising a child with a little-known math learning disability.
This journey is like hiking an unknown trail, without a map, or directions. It’s difficult to find adequate resources and learning disability supports.
Dyscalculia, better known as a math learning disability, impacts 1 in every 20 people, or about 5-6% of all children and adults. Yet it remains widely unrecognized by our educational and societal systems.
