About Jim Palmer
Welcome to Deconstructionology, a collaborative community of courageous thinkers who transcend unhealthy and limiting beliefs, systems, and structures in order to create the best of all possible worlds.
Jim Palmer is a pioneering figure in religious deconstruction, reconstruction, and existential health. Holding a master’s degree in theology, he began his journey within the structures of traditional faith, only to later step beyond them to chart new territory in non-religious spirituality. He serves as a chaplain with the American Humanist Association and is a certified spiritual director through the Haden Institute. Palmer is the founder of the Center for Non-Religious Spirituality, a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to supporting people who seek meaning, depth, and transcendence outside the boundaries of organized religion.
Palmer insists you don’t need religion—or anyone’s permission—to reclaim your life.
