Death & Birds are the two things that most preoccupy me. As an End-of-Life Doula and a volunteer caring for orphaned baby birds at a wildlife rescue centre, I am privileged to be immersed in some of life’s most significant transitions. Over the years, Death and Birds have (perhaps paradoxically, in the case of Death) brought me to life in profound and unexpected ways. They have become the lens through which I view everything else.
