Education is not merely the collection of facts and knowledge, but the development of character and the calibration of a good moral compass. People spend more time today in school than ever before, and have never been more poorly educated.
This blog is an attempt to fix the problem of a rotten education system by helping people become better auto-didacts, as well as documenting my own auto-didactic journey.
In Classical Ideals, I write about great books, I discuss their themes and ideas and discuss how we can not only apply them to our own lives, but be transformed by them. I discuss modern culture, art history, and philosophy.
