About Chris Tharp
I’m Chris Tharp, a writer based in Busan, South Korea. My work has appeared in publications such as National Geographic Traveller (UK), The Telegraph, CNN Travel, Condé Nast Traveler, Fodor’s and others. I’m also the author of two books: Dispatches from the Peninsula and The Worst Motorcycle in Laos, both published by Signal 8 Press. My novel, The Cuttlefish, will be put out by Plum Rain Press in the fall of 2024. The World According to Tharp focuses largely on personal travel narratives, along with essays on life abroad, food & booze, Gen X memoir, and the occasional political rant.
