Hello!

My name’s Dr Julia Grace Patterson, although everyone calls me Ju. I’m a doctor but I’m not working clinically; after a decade of looking after patients face-to-face I stopped in order to fight for NHS staff, their patients, and the very future of our public healthcare system.

I started my newsletter Call to Action because I am fed up of politicians pulling the wool over peoples’ eyes when it comes to their plans for the NHS. Successive governments have taken steps to expand NHS privatisation, and the service has been underfunded and under-resourced too. Most media outlets do not hold politicians to account for what they are doing to the NHS, so I decided to start a personal newsletter to cut through the noise and deliver the information you need…

I explain the most important developments within the NHS, highlight the most important sources of information, do deep dives into particular issues, and offer my perspectives to my community of thousands of readers.
