Who I am
I’m a journalist and author. You may know me from my years writing and editing at The Week, but now I’m the deputy editor1 at Christianity Today and a fellow at Defense Priorities. I’ve written extensively at Reason and The Daily Beast, and I’ve been widely published at outlets including The New York Times, USA Today, CNN, NBC, and Politico. My third book, In Defense of Evangelicalism: A Response to Its Cultured Despiser, will publish in 2026.
My first book is A Flexible Faith: Rethinking What It Means to Follow Jesus Today (FaithWords, 2018). My second book is Untrustworthy: The Knowledge Crisis Breaking Our Brains, Polluting Our Politics, and Corrupting Christian Community (Brazos Press, 2022).
