About Lindsay O’Brien
Hi, I’m Lindsay— growing up it was “Lindsay Binzie,” “Lindsay Binz,” or simply, “The Binz. ” The playful nickname still brings me back to my core: a girl who loves to create and collect.
I used to go beachcombing with my grandma Madeline when I was young. We would survey the details of the shoreline intently, marveling at the myriad colors and shapes nature had to offer. At the day’s end, I would sift through the contents of my pail, meticulously curating a collection of chosen specimens to bring home— to string on necklaces, to paint, to arrange on shelves. The rest I would lovingly discard on a wooden bench near the beach entrance, hoping they’d find appreciation in someone else’s eyes.
