Bel Canto Books is a thriving, Filipina-led independent bookstore based in Long Beach, California. We are proudly woman- and BIPOC- owned.
Founded by Jhoanna Belfer, a Filipina-American poet and former hospitality executive, Bel Canto Books offers a curated selection of fiction, nonfiction, and children's books. Our collection is organized around a monthly theme, with a particular focus on celebrating books by women and people of color.
We offer store- and community-led Book Clubs with both in-person and online meetings.
