About Behind the Gospels
Behind the Gospels is an academic blog, offering weekly insights into the Gospels. Its primary goal is to make academic study of the gospels accessible to a wide audience.
Topics covered include reading the gospels as ancient biographical literature, Jesus as a historical figure, and the origins, provenance, and meaning of our earliest Gospels.
About the Author
My background is as a student and teacher. I completed my master’s in Theology (New Testament) and PGCE at Magdalen College, Oxford in 2020 and my PhD in Christian Origins at the University of Edinburgh in 2023.
As part of my freelance work, I am the producer and researcher for Biblical Time Machine, a podcast which hosts leading academics in a range of fields related to the bible.
